Dear Packiaraj, thanks for this essay :) Even though I think that appealing to people's empathy is an important mechanism that can be used by ordinary people like you and me, I am convinced that it is not sufficient. A few weeks ago, I came to realize that empathy essentially has a cognitive basis and thus requires skills that, in my opinion, all earthlings are far from having developed!

As far as political commitment is concerned, I may also be more effective to pressure rather than only hope! Moreover, nuclear power may be a double-edge sword as the technology brings with its benefits considerable health and safety risks whereas there is no real solution that has been found so far to store waste. Moreover, the plants also depend on a non-renewable natural resource that may soon be exhausted if expansion proceeds.

Dear Benoit,
Thanks for the comment. I dont endorse nuclear energy but i emphasis a committment of a politician made a development agenda. My arguemnet more on political committment but the example which i used is nuke deal. As you said i know the reality of nuke power.
