Vinyl 2010 reserves the right to modify and/or delete contributions submitted by peer-review on any of the Essays published in this year's competition. Please note that the content of a posting does not represent the views or beliefs of Vinyl 2010 or that of the Independent Essay Competition Judging Panel, but signifies an expression of the views of the private individual(s) from whom they are addressed.
As a rule:
- Contributions must be civil and tasteful.
- Inappropriate (vulgar or offensive) usernames will not be accepted when commenting on an Essay entry.
- No disruptive, offensive or abusive behaviour: contributions must be constructive and polite, not mean-spirited or contributed with the intention of causing trouble.
- No unlawful or objectionable content: unlawful, harassing, defamatory, abusive, threatening, harmful, obscene, profane, sexually oriented, racially offensive or otherwise objectionable material is not acceptable.
- No spamming or off-topic material: we don't allow the submission of the same or very similar contributions many times.
All essays and all rights to their publication become the property of Vinyl 2010, which may use, edit and excerpt these entries for promotional or any other purpose, including placing them online without compensation, additional or otherwise. Vinyl 2010 reserves the right to use participants' names, age and nationality in any advertising or promotional materials relating to this competition without further notification, permission, or compensation to the winners, except where prohibited by law.
